Illuminate Psychology is dedicated to enhancing the well-being, resilience and attainment of all children and young people in education. We recognise the pivotal role that up-to-date and innovative research plays in this quest.
We have experience in conducting robust research with children and young people on important issues relating to their social, emotional and academic development. We use qualitative methods, such as focus groups and semi- structured interviews, to elicit their views. We use qualitative analysis, such as thematic analysis and meta-ethnography, to ensure that these views are effectively integrated into policy review and development.
We are currently taking part in local and regional projects seeking to support children and young people in care.
We have a particular interest in how social pedagogy can help teachers balance the ever increasing demands they face in the classroom.
We welcome questions and queries from universities, colleges, schools and students under taking research projects.
